Brakes - Fitting - Service - Checking

When you're driving it is very easy to forget that you're in a steel box travelling at 60 mph. If you suddenly needed to stop, your vehicle needs to come to a stop within the highway code guidelines. So your brakes need to be well maintained at all times.

Brakes are one of the most crucial components so you need to pay attention to the warning signs that indicate a need for service and can mean the difference between life and death on the road. There are some obvious signs that your brakes need servicing - like a brake light appearing on your car's dashboard or the feeling that your vehicle is taking longer to stop than it should.

In either of these cases, you should visit your local mechanic for a brake check as soon as possible.  We do check , advise and fit brakes for all vehicle types

Brake checks can identify a problem before it begins to impact on your braking efficiency, thus providing an opportunity to restore the effectiveness of your vehicle's braking system to its intended operating performance.

Your vehicle will also fail its MOT test if your braking system does not meet required standards to allow your vehicle to come to an efficient stop.

Brake Fluid Flush

Brake fluid will absorb water from the air over time, causing the brake system to become less effective and the fluid to become corrosive, possibly damaging the system.

Brake Pad & Shoe Replacement

Brake pad problems can usually be identified by squealing brakes. If your brake pads deteriorate completely, you'll hear a grinding metal-on-metal sound when braking, meaning that it's too late and you're ruining your rotors or drums

Caliper Replacement

The brake caliper houses your brake pads and fits around the rotor like a clamp, pressing the pads against the rotor when you brake. A brake caliber problem could cause uneven braking, making your car slide forward when you brake

Anti-Lock Brake System

ABS ensures that the wheels don't stop rotating during braking, preventing the car from skidding and offering greater control. If your ABS light comes on, visit us and we will be happy to diagnose and fix the problem.
